The 3rd South Shore Science Festival was a remarkable success at the Quincy Center for Innovation. It continues to grow, over double the number of attendees than the previous year, reaching the 1000 mark including attendees, presenters and volunteers. Children had a lot of fun, they enjoyed many activities – ranging from basic simple machine principles displayed by the Granite Rail museum and exceptional interactive stories, to an introduction to programming with advanced innovation activities and scientific research including a study done in Antarctica, and of course lots sports including the science of soccer.

The organizers Kathy Hogan from Gateway to Science (@ QCI) and Manuel Barroso from Positive BCS (Quincy Chamber Member @ QCI) want to THANK the local and MA based companies1, associations2, colleges3, schools4, and of course each one of the individuals5 presenting at the Science Festival. In addition, they want to thank the sponsors that donated raffle items from passes to the Museum of Science to books to augmented reality art to items donated by the Cambridge Science Festival to Smart Soccer Balls, and most important to our dedicated volunteers specially Denise Duncan, Nina Liang, Frank Hogan, and Helga Barroso, we could not achieve this success without all of them!
